Anyone remembers the two teenagers in Texas, it probably happened sometime in the mid- to late 80's?
They went on a killing spree, first killing a single mom in her trailer, then two older gentlemen (a father and son I believe), and a guy who thought they had car troubles. It probably aired in the early 90's. Does anyone know if there has been an update on that case

Yes William Glen Henry and Davey Lynn Crockett were the two kids arrested, I believe Crockett was 19 and Henry was 18 at the time. Henry and Crockett, I dont know if they pled guilty or what, but they were convicted either way and they were sentenced to life with parole. They were only charged in three of the murders because even though they killed the guy in Arkansas there supposedly wasnt enough evidence to charge them or something. I think Arkansas wanted to take them back and put them on trial for it but there was never any charges actually filed against them I dont think for killing that 29 year old guy. Crockett and Henry are both now 37 and are still in prison. However they are already eligible for parole, in the segment it said not until 2020 however they both first became eligible for parole last year. Both were denied and because they were convicted of multiple murders I dont know that either will ever get out. Henry might get out eventually but Crockett has had disciplinary problems in prison including getting sentenced to an additional 10 years in prison for a 1993 incident involving him smuggling a gun into the prison he was in at the time so I dont think Crockett will ever get out. However they are both only in their late 30's and with all the overcrowding Texas has in its prisons if you arent on death row and you are eligible for parole they will probably let you out eventually.

Ok, nice to know that they are behind bars, though I personally feel they got off lightly.
I mean they should be grateful they didn't get the death penalty, but that's probably because of their young age at the time I guess. |
