Rogest Cain - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have been wondering about a missing persons case that I saw years ago. I believe it was on UM, but it could have been profiled on America's Most Wanted or a similar true crime series.

An elderly black man went missing and investigators found pieces of paper in his car with numbers written on them. As I remember it, they didn't find out signs of foul play and don't think he would have just gone off to start a new life. Is this the Rogest Cane case? I know I'm leaving real sketchy information, but I only saw the segment once and it was a long time ago. Also, this is not to be confused with the elderly gentleman who apparently got lost on his way to pick up his wife and his car was later found abandoned in a wooded area.

Yes that sounds like the Rogest Cain case. They found his car abandoned and a paper inside that contained what they believed to be his sister's phone number although I'm not sure if he had the numbers in the right sequence. I think he suffered from a stroke and wandered off confused. There were sightings of him but he was never found. Here is a fairly recent thread about him with some more info:

Most missing people are sadly never found. Look at all the missing Americans in Iraq and Natalee Holloway.

Are you sure you're not referring to George Owens? He was the Tennessee elderly man who disappeared while on his way to pick up his wife at a terminal.

As for Rogest Cain, he is profiled at the Doe Network site.
