Movies that mention true stories within them...
The movie JAWS (1975) has a scene where Quint tells Brody and Matt Hooper the story of how he obtained a scar he has on his arm. He tells them it was a tattoo of the words USS INDIANAPOLIS. He proceeds to tell them how he was on that doomed ship that eventually was bombed and sunk by the japanese, which caused all the men of the ship to either die immediately or deal with floating at sea in shark-infested waters for days. Quint talks abt his "experience" regarding that tragedy and how it affected him, eventually having the tattoo removed from his arm so he wouldn't have to see the ship's name.
