Hi Studd,
"Fistful of Reasons" (a.k.a Buddy Hinton episode) has a scene with a couple added lines of Mike and Carol consoling Cindy in her room when she is crying about Buddy Hinton picking on her. (This is restored on TV Land and cut by syndication. TV Land and syndication have different edits.) Syndicate cuts out a scene when Mike comes home and Carol tells him about his fight with Buddy. (Restored by TV Land.) TV Land cuts out a scene of Alice helping Cindy with her tongue-twister book. Syndication cuts out a scene when Carol and Mike are in the family room. She says that she lisped as a child and it was worse for her because she grew up in Swamscott Massachusetts. "Father of the Year" has a big extended scene of Jan and Cindy looking for Marcia. (They come downstairs asking Alice and Carol for a drink of water.) There is also an added scene of Mike and Carol checking on the boys who are asleep that you can only see on DVD. Alice's "Skiing lesson" has been restored with the kids helping her get on the hayloft. (This is shortened by syndication, it is completely edited out on TV Land.) I think (not sure) that syndicate also somewhat shortens the discussion by the judges of who they think should win the contest. Jack |
