Default GF is Proud to Present: Ron Glass and Demond Wilson in "The New Odd Couple"

I got a hold of all 5 episodes recently and I will post pics from all 5. Here are 7 shots from the first episode "The New Car" I will post shots from episode two tomorrow.

I thought the show was ok, the only real downfall was they used recycled plots from the original episodes.

No, I'm sorry, I thought the whole project was ill conceived.

I liked Glass and, especially, Wilson. "Give them a series by all means," I thought. But the Randall/Klugman "Odd Couple" was sacrosanct to me.

I didn't notice anything unusual about his hair cut, I just think it is funny seeing him without a moustache and a fro.

I remember reading somewhere once, that they did that because of a writers strike at the time. I remember, though, they did do 3 or 4 original ones. But, the show was still pretty bad though.

Default There's a reason why....

..."THE NEW ODD COUPLE" lasted less than one full season-- and, I believe, even Garry Marshall admitted it was a mistake to revive it. That's one reason why he turned to directing theatrical films exclusively, abandoning TV production for good.

I didn't like the show either, my pet peeve was that Demond seemed to be reading the lines instead of acting. Anyone remember the animated odd couple, it was a cat and dog in the lead roles as Spiffy and Fleabag lol.

Too soon? The Original ended in 74 and The New Version started in 82

yes i think remaking a Classic sitcom
only 8 years after it ended is too soon

to be honest, i think ALL remakes of classic sitcoms are too soon

i mean, did ANYONE enjoy THE HONEYMOONERS movie with Cedric The Entertainer?

classics dont need to be remade, the remakes never work

What was so classic about the original Odd couple? It was cancelled after 4 years and it was never in the Top 30
