I know some folks here have gotten to meet her a few times, and as much as I've loved her talents and "Mama's Family" and "The Carol Burnett Show" since I was a little boy, I was reeeeally hoping I could get at least one time, lol.
In April I wrote an article about her promoting the show and was supposed to meet her afterward, but there was some miscommunication between the Center's people and Vicki's people, and she left pretty quickly after the show (there were a few other folks waiting too). I got my picture with Garrett then and he said I could have an IOU this summer. Well the lady I knew at the Center gave me a name of someone to contact at the Bardstown show, and this time I got there really early, they remembered my situation, and I got a backstage pass! Some guy took me back to the green room, and after a few minutes Vicki and Garrett came in. She was all cool and collected and really nice and gracious, and it was so terrific and after a wonderful time meeting with her, Garrett took our picture. At last, another dream has come true, meeting my favorite commedienne from my favorite show! ![]() Thanks Vicki! And pics from the show: http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slidesho...y=-b6dmwj&Ux=0 |

Oh, thats really cool. I didn't know that you met her beforehand. I wondered why you didn't stay afterwards and try to meet her. There were a bunch of people back stage! Well anyway, I am glad things worked out for both of us. It was nice meeting you...in person that is! Later!
