Naomi Watts barefoot in King Kong

There has been some discussion in the past about how Lou Ferrigno often wore slippers in "The Incredible Hulk" instead of going barefoot, it was for protection depending on the scene and environment. I noticed in King Kong, however, that Naomi Watts was barefoot the entire time while she was in the jungle with Kong. It was a rough territory and there were times when she ran when trying to escape Kong or another beast. So how did they protect her feet, or did she just bear the pain and go on?

Well, actually my wife was the one who noticed and said, "It looks like it would be rough on her feet." I didn't think that was relevant to the question, however, so I didn't include it. Anyway, why did Lou have to wear slippers in the late 70s and early 80s, but now they are not needed. What type of special effect handles that.

Um, the "rough territory" is not what it appears. There are green screen effects. The rough terrain or territory can "appear" to be looking that way, when in fact, it is not rough at all. One can appear to be barefoot and actually be wearing very thin protective wear and the computer editor can "fix" it so that it appears she is barefooted; many movies are made so that it looks like someone is flying but they really aren't; some actors are shown wearing a particular item of clothing, but it is really edited in...should I go on or is that enough info?
