IDOJ in Chicago area - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Old news, I'm sure, to anyone in the Chicago area, but just in case some are not aware of it, I Dream of Jeannie is currently airing on ME-TV, which is owned by local station WCIU. Their web site is:

and if you click on the link for ME-TV you'll see that they are also available via the DISH Network and Comcast cable channel 223. I sure hope they're not affected by the recent news item here regarding the ION network getting the Sony shows.

As you can see by clicking the SCHEDULE tab at the top of the above page, they are showing many classic shows, including Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, Bewitched, etc. To their credit, they do NOT have a logo in the lower corner throughout every episode, so anyone interested in taping these will have a pretty "clean" copy.

Thanks for the heads-up. If Dish-Net is getting the channel, there's hope for DirecTV, too.

Hi -

I just spotted that on this page (http://www.wciu.com/channelpositions.asp) that it's on channel 23 for "new DirectTV systems." Don't know if this is helpful for you or not, but it may be worth a check!

I just checked on two different websites, then went to my own DirecTV system. The WCIU website says that it's on channel 967 OR channel 26 on DirecTV (new systems). There's no listing for WCIU anywhere on DirecTV's website. So I went to my system. It's not there.

Thanks for the information, though. I've found that if we call DirecTV often enough, and get other people to call, they do add channels.
