This afternoon I was watching the episode of Cindy's pregnant friend and my daughter was also watching it. She's 9 years old and she just "had" to comment on Jack's short jogging shorts.

This is what she told me.........

Daughter - Mom who's that guy?

Me - That's Jack

Daughter - What is that -- that he's wearing?

Me - Those are shorts. Those are jogging shorts.

Daughter - That's digusting!

I guess she thought the shorts were really short. I did tell her that was the style back then and alot of people wore those shorts.

I know, my daughters' have commented on those "short" shorts as well. I tell them the basketball players would wear them that short back in the days. They are used to seeing guys with those long, long, long shorts that look like short pants.

I've had friends comment on how short Jack's shorts were but I never really give his shorts a second thought because I knew that was the style back then.

One of the things I enjoy about the show is seeing the 70's and 80's fashions and it brings back warm fuzzy memories of the things I used to wear back then. In 1977, our gym outfit in jr high consisted of a tight fitting t-shirt and those tight short shorts with the little white line going up the sides (and of course, knee-high white socks)

Some of the things they wore look kind of silly now days..

(And who better than the Three's Company cast to make all those silly fashions look good!)

A few months ago I was watching an early 80's musical performance from Texas. Every person in the club was wearing those short shorts. I'm talking Magnum PI length. It's normal to see that today on women, but not on men.

Our gym clothes were like that too, and I use to have a pair of those short shorts they were in back then. Also in were Jack's blue sneakers with the white stripe on the side and were suede, they were called tracks I think.
