One of my favorite ones is when Gloria gets the wig with black hair, it turns Mike on when she wears it and he only wants to have sex with her when she has the wig on. She gets insulted and they get into a big fight over it. Great episode.

Ironic thing is, Gloria got the wig to try and spice things up a bit. It achieved the desired result, then she didn't want it. Lesson of the episode- Be careful what you wish for.

I remember Archie siding with Gloria against the meathead, meathead told Archie to go salute a flag, lol.

That was a funny episode--not one of my favorites, but I liked it. Personally, I think Gloria looked much nicer with her long blonde hair than with that wig, but if Mike liked it, that's all that matters.

As for favorites, I have a lot, but my all-time favorite is "Everybody Tells the Truth." I found that one to be really amusing..

That was a great episode. It was one of the rare occasions that I sided with the meat head. Gloria should not have been upset at all. Mike did nothing wrong.

Another of my favorite episodes was when Mike's draft dodger friend came over for holiday dinner at The Bunker's house while Archie's friend who lost his son in the war was over. That was a great one.

But there are so many awesome episodes of All In the Family. It's hard to choose.

One of the few times that I thought Archie was wrong was when he took baby Joey behind Gloria and Mike's back to baptize him at the church. Archie was wrong. Mike and Gloria are Joey's parents and they didn't want him baptized. I know Archie meant well. He truly loved that baby.

My top episodes:

1) Edith's 50th Birthday
2) Sammy's Visit
3) Edith's Problem
4) Lionel Steps Out
5) Pay the Twenty Dollars
6) Two's a Crowd
7) Meet the Bunkers

One of the funniest moments was when Edith is having the tupperware party and screws up her speech that she practices for days.

" Sammy's Visit" (A lot of people's favorite)
"Cousin Maude's Visit" (Great zingers between Archie and Maude)
"The Elevator Story"
"Edith's Conversion" Like scenes that focus on food and eating, even if it's horse meat.)
"We Having A Heatwave"/"We're Still Having A Heatwave"

Gloria's line to Mike was hilarious:

"It's not me (that's turning you on), it's this pile of of hair; I just happen to be standing underneath it!"

I like the early episodes better:

1) Sammy Davis Jr. episode, obviously...I think that's my favorite...I loved when Archie introduces Sammy to everyone, with Mike, Gloria and Lionel standing there:

Archie: ...My daughter Gloria...
Sammy: Hi Gloria
Archie: Her husband, Mike
Sammy (shakes Lionel's hand): Hello Mike!
Archie: Nah, that ain't him, my daughter's married to the white guy over here!

2) When Archie goes to the hospital with a bad back, and he can't see his black roommate because the curtain gets stuck...Arichie's roommate, (Jean Duval) spoke French ... I loved when Louise and Lionel came to visit Archie, and Duval says "Archie, aren't you going to introduce me to your family?" LOL

3) I loved the Gloria wig episode as well (Gloria pretends to want to watch Citizen Kane instead of going out to the movies with everyone).

4) The ep when everyone plays the "Cop Out / With It" game. Mike destroys the board and yells "That's it... I don't want to play anymore!" They must have had so much fun taping that scene!

5) The ep in which the fridge goes on the blink, and Archie, Mike and Edith tell different versions of how it happened. That one apprentice says to Archie "Black is beautiful, baby"...

6) The episode when Mike and Gloria have a fight, they both storm out of the house, and end up going to the same movie...when they meet back at home, they tell each other made-up stories about meeting another woman (Mike) and another man (Gloria)... then, just when they make up and start to play "Ready...set...go", Gloria leaps into Mike's arms, they start kissing, and Archie and Edith return home after an evening out.. "Aw, geez, look at this", Archie says.."they've been at it since we left".

7) The ep when Archie may or may not have eaten poison mushrooms.

8) The flashback episode to Mike and Gloria's wedding.

9) The ep when Archie is going to press charges against some kid (I think for armed robbery); then, the kid's lawyer shows up at the Bunkers and talks Archie into dropping the charges, with a bribe... then, when Archie goes to the police station to reclaim his stolen property, he finds out that this robber is always getting off because of bribes, and then the fines from Archie's parking violations at the police station turn out to be more than his bribe money he received to drop the charges...

10) The ep when Edith drops a can of peaches into a car, causing a dent, and leaves a note for the owner.

That's ten favorites, so far..
