I've been watching a lot of Tom & Jerry cartoons on Boomerang lately & that stuff is funny as hell. Can we add them to the cartoons list? And are there any other T&J fans???

Bill Hanna & Joe Barbera's Tom & Jerry cartoons were great (they managed to
stop Walt Disney's Oscar-winning streak by winning seven of the coveted
statuettes). And, yes, they are pretty darn funny.

I was checking YouTube that all of the classic Tom & Jerry cartoons that I used to watched and grew up watching as part of the stable on WPIX-TV back in the 70's and 80's are now gone!

I missed T&J cartoons on YouTube. That's why I'm giving a big thumbs down to YouTube for removing all of the Tom & Jerry cartoons.

It sucks to see all of the classic T&J cartoons on YouTube go.

Back on July 4th, YouTube banned me for using inappropriate content used in a number of cartoons, I had my e-mail from YouTube staff regarding this message:

Your video "The Talking Magpies" has been rejected due to its inappropriate nature. Due to your repeated attempts to upload inappropriate videos, your account has now been permanently disabled and your videos have been taken down.

That's why YouTube stinks!

I am...of the 1975 TV version. So much so that I dedicated a web shrine to it: Aaron's New Tom & Jerry Information Site—which, next year, is celebrating 10 years on The World Wide Web!

...were removed for LEGAL reasons, 'musicradio'. Time-Warner OWNS the T&J library, and THEY definitely sent YouTube a "cease and desist" warning. As for "The Talking Magpies", yes, that's in public domain, but if YouTube feels it's "inappropriate" for their viewers (i.e., too violent), they have every right to reject it.

Thanks TV Knowledge Fan my thoughts about my ban from YouTube this past July. I was usually a big fan of Tom & Jerry since I was a kid when WPIX-TV in New York City was the Tom & Jerry station. A lot of YouTube members removed so many cartoons from the T&J library as well as the Tex Avery ones. That's why Warner Bros. owns the T&J library. WPIX-TV when it was originally "11 Alive" had the entire catalog of Tom & Jerry cartoons during the weekday afternoons for decades. That was prior to Warner Bros. where they still got the entire T&J cartoons from the Hanna-Barbera, Gene Deitch and the Chuck Jones eras. I missed the T&J cartoons on WPIX-TV, because it was the Tom & Jerry station.

Am I just getting old (I'm only 29 though

) or do today's cartoons suck compared to the good old days of the 80's through about 1997?. I guess you could include the 70's too. It seems like since The Disney Afternoon and Saturday morning cartoons ended (at about the same time coincidentally or not) , the quality of cartoons has gone downhill. The only modern (kids) cartoon I bother to watch is Spongebob, though its been months since I've seen an episode.

I really miss Tom and Jerry. They don't make 'em like that anymore.
