that on Soap Jessica and Mary's maiden name is Gatlin and then on Beson that the governor's last name is Gatlin? I was wondering if some how they were related because I think I remember Jessica saying something about them being related but I'm not quite sure.

Jessica and the Governor are cousins - she's the one that helps Benson get the job at the Governor's mansion, and she actually makes a guest appearance in the 8th episode

(she appears in one other episode - as a ghost that only Benson can see)
