I am not the biggest country fan, but the Statler Brothers are great. Very enjoyable. When Pulp Fiction came out my dad bought the Soundtrack. In the movie they use one of there songs "Flowers on the Wall" I never saw the movie and still haven't to this day but he always played the soundtrack so I knew the song my heart for a long time. I heard it on the radio a few months ago after not hearing it for a few years and it brought back a lot of memories. I decided to get some more songs by them to see if I liked them and I do. They do some gospel songs and those ones don't really click for me, but all there traditional country songs are great. They have a lot of songs about looking back at the memories. Here are just a few of there songs if you don't know them. Do You Remember These? , Bed of Roses , What Ever Happened to Randolph Scott , Some I Wrote , The Class of 57' , Pictures and many more.
They also do pretty good remakes of Delta Dawn, Battle of New Orleans, and Hello Mary Lou. |
