Help! Need advice/suggestions on a luggage question!!!! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I am getting very frustrated!

I need some advice on anyone who has gone through the same thing, if that's possible. I still don't have my suitcase!!!!

I got on two different airlines to get home from Mexico (Aeromexico was my initial flight and then I transferred planes in Phoenix to US Airways). When you get into the U.S., you have to claim your baggage and then re-check it in. Well, half of our luggage wasn't there when we got to Phoenix. Apparently there was disorganization skills somewhere with Aeromexico. We were told there was no room on that flight to store our bags, etc. We all had to fill out the lost bagage report.

Well, I got onto US Airways to go back home without my luggage. I got home, and Aeromexico from Phoenix called me at home saying they were going to place my baggage on the next flight to get to my city of destination (my hometown) on the 10:30 p.m. flight (which is 11:30 p.m. my time).

Here's the thing - the woman asked me for my home address, so I assumed the suitcase was going to be sent to my house, right? Isn't that how it works? I gave it to her and triple check she got the numbers correct and name of my street and everything. Well, I still haven't received anything.

I called my airport yesterday, and they said nothing came. Then I called Phoenix's airport, and they say I have to call US Airways. But...does that mean the main US Airways number or my city's or Phoenix? I'm lost!!! This is frustrating. They found my suitcase, but where is it????

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do I do? Who has gone through this?

I called Aeromexico in Phoenix, and I called my local airport and nothing on the tracing. It's frustrating because when I called back Aeromexico, I am basically being told to go in circles. Grrrrr.... I had a couple of souveniors in my suitcase that didn't fit in my carry-on luggage. That and plus my clothes....they're all my favorite clothings that I took. And I bought a similar-looking ankh necklace that was in there too!!!

I can't believe how annoyed I am with myself because I was this close to just taking my suitcase with me as carry-on luggage, but I hesitated because I think it wouldn't fit in the overhead compartment. They say to go with your gut instinct. *sigh*

So....anyone....... this must've happened to someone else other than me. What are the proper channels to go through. I'm getting annoyed of being taken in circles!
