Finally!!! My Mexico City and surrounding areas vacation photos are available!!!
* Day 1 (Monday, July 3, 2006): One of the first photos I took while in Mexico City was a neighborhood taxi: ![]() A pic of a huge building in the center of Mexico D.F.: ![]() We visited the Torre Latinoamericano which is Mexico City's tallest skyscraper consisting of 47 stories. We took an elevator up and then climbed three flights of stairs before reaching to uppermost point. Looking out through the top three levels are windows around the building were you can look around Mexico City! Soooooooo many cars and buildings around!!! Beautiful!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Mexican metro....one of the busiest in the world next to Moscow. There were too many people and so much commotion going on: ![]() ![]() ![]() Behind the Torre Latinoamericano there was a garden with artsy sculptures. Here are a couple of the photos: ![]() ![]() ![]() More coming up.... |

* Day 2 (Tuesday, July 4, 2006):
We got up really early in the morning at around 5:00 a.m. and drove 6-7 hours southeast to Vera Cruz at the Golf of Mexico. We all rented a hotel that evening and returned on the 5th of July. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() * Day 3 (Wednesday, July 5, 2006): This is my fresh fish filet I had for lunch right before we drove back to Mexico City. You can also see my glass of pineapple Mexican soda. Yum! ![]()

Thanks, guys!
![]() * Day 4 (Thursday, July 6, 2006): My 13-year-old cousin, Adriana (her nickname is Nana), and I spent the entire day with Nana's 31-year-old cousin who lives near Chapultepec. She toured us around the beautiful park hill area and then spent the night at her and her husband's apartment complex. This was my favorite part of Mexico City to visit. The entrance to the Chapultepec castle. I didn't enter it because it was really huge inside, and I would've been the only one going inside. Nana and Erica were also exhausted at this point. But here's the entrance gate (in the first pic, you can see that tall blue building which is the Mexican World Trade Center), the side of it, and the top of it: ![]() ![]() ![]() By the streets of Chapultepec...a double-decker bus. Looks like London! ![]() ![]() ![]() The House of Mirrors (we didn't know this was a touristy area inside until Miguel, Erica's, husband told us about it later that evening): ![]() ![]()

Continuing with Chapultepec....
The path to the Castle of Chapuletepec: ![]() In the garden of the Museum of Modern Art in Chapultepec: ![]() ![]() The Park of Chapultepec: ![]() I caught this squirrel on a tree. Another lady was taking a pic of it, and the animal was standing there as though it was waiting for her. Therefore, I also whipped out my camera and hit the zoom because I didn't want to scare it away by getting too close to it. I took a total of three pics of three different squirrels, but this is my closest shot! ![]() ![]() A large recreational boating river in the middle of the park: ![]() A train in the park. For $45 pesos ($4.50 USD) you can ride this train and tour around the entire park. The three of us got in and the driver was explaining the history and story of the park: ![]() Tourist trap: These are actually policemen patrolling the park, but they are dressed somewhat like the Mariachi. They are there to look like them in case there is trouble in the park. We laughed because we all thought they were the Mariachi, so that's our inside joke everytime we bring it up!:
