Default The most bizarre episode on Diff'rent Strokes...

One that I could think is Shoot Out At The O.K Arcade....just plain weird.

Oh yes, it is ! Isn't there a "dream-like sequence" in there with Arnold inside the arcade game or something ?

Here's what I remember vaguely:

Arnold is like this virtual reality game(think Tron). Very 1982-like. Willis is like the bad guy in the video arcade and he becomes zapped! And I think he vanishes. But that is all I could...but it very, very weird.

Totally bizarre. I am not sure if anybody recalls this episode at all...

i used to tape DS so it's surprising i can't remember more of that episode because i usually do I *kind of* remember it with your description, i remember the "virtual stuff", the game. This episode was very druggy, what were the DS writers on in those days ?

That was quite a weird episode especially since it was the first of a new season. Quite a lot of it was just Arnold in a fantasy gaming sequence and there was very little storyline to the episode.

Thanks, i didn't even know this episode started season 5-which makes it even more puzzling I distinctly remember Arnold (as Eddie Vedder would sing) with his "arms raised in a V" after he won

88 survivor, i do hope they will release these seasons !

It really did happened on the show's opening of the season. It was some weird video game dream...it was very weird for an opening, too. If you seen it, you couldn't believe your eyes.

Another WTF episode was the night school episode that only focused on the Drummonds for about five minutes. That was totally pointless and made you go like...

That one where two of the Drummonds cousins showed up creeped me out. Conrad Bain and Dana Plato both in drag!

I don't recall that particular episode, but it was most likely a "backdoor" pilot for another sitcom that would be based on the additional characters. "The Facts of Life" had at least two of these eps, one that had John P. Navin playing a student at an all-boys school (He was apparently dating Natalie, who showed up when he was in a boxing match.) and another that featured some of Jo's cousins.

Ewww...I remember that one. Conrad Bain was the ugliest woman ever to walk in the face of existence. He made Scott Baio look attractive by comparison.
