Yes and no, depending on how it's used. I like it as a resource to contact certain people. That's how I use it, anyway...

Question - I am browsing around various people's MySpaces, but why does it seem like a lot of people have been setting their profiles to "Private" lately? It's not only people from SO, but I have noticed it with other people whose pages I have seen in their entirety in the past. Has something been going on that's universal since early July I should know about? What's going on? Just wondering.

This will answer your question. My profile is private, because I would really rather only have my friends be able to view my pictures, blog, etc. and I don't want people to go through my friends list and add random people to their list. Thank the gods people don't need to lie and be underage to make their profile private.
