I'm waiting for 2 things
1) For either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD to win the format battle ala Beta vs VHS 2)Waiting for the price to drop... Alot I saw an HD DVD or blu ray once (Can't remember which). It was nice, but my regular DVD player on my HDTV looks just as good |

I'm not so much interested in the supposed better quality but rather the increased storage capacity. I find the current dvds to be of good enough quality for me. I just don't ever see myself needing a HD or Blu-Ray version of Hitch even if it does come down in price from it's current $34.95 (at local Future Shop).

just like DVD R and DL discs when they first came out. cost of them at first will be insanly stupid. Eventualy they will become afordable.
im with you digitalmonkey, blue ray offers sweet storage capacity. imagine storing an entire tv series on 1 or 2 discs instead of 20! if blue ray ends up taking over the format battle, im confident that all home units will be built with backwards compatibility ( units that will except BOTH blue ray and DVD discs ) just like the Super-VHS decks that except standard VHS tapes and SUPER tapes. it would be foolish to think otherwise. DVD was the fastest growing media in history. give it another year or so before blue ray realy takes off. its just not that commonly known to the GENERAL PUBLIC yet. us die hards are constantly reading up on this stuff. most of the general public is just now starting to learn how to use their PC dvd burners |

Yeah I'll probably get a recorder when the prices come down, after someone starts manufacturing those. The newer game consoles are supporting these formats for playback too. I think Playstation 3 will be Blu Ray and Nintendo Revolution HD DVD, or maybe the other way around I forget. I think X Box 360 is HD, isn't it?
