George Jefferson on "E/R" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Not the current "E/R", but a sitcom from 1984. George guest starred as one of the character's uncle. Has anyone seen this episode of that show?

Way back when it first aired. My memory is bad though because I could almost swear that that Elliot Gould sitcom aired in 1983 not 1984. Anyway, Lynne Moody's nurse character was George's neice. He showed up at the hospital to visit her in the pilot episode. Is this called a spinoff or something else? They used George to introduce viewers to this series, but he was never seen after that. I guess this neice character would've been Gary Coleman's older sister.

yes I recieved the 2 part pilot of that episode last year. His niece on E/R was the woman who played Jenny on All in the Family

No it wasn't a spinoff just a Crossover between two CBS shows

I use to like E/R. I thought it was a solid comedy. Of Course, I was a kid at the time. lol

But the crossover happened on E/R's first show. Wouldn't that make it a spin-off?

Nope because none of the characters on E/R were ever on the Jeffersons-lol The woman on E/R who played George Jefferson neice was on the Jeffersons but not as his neice just a woman at the Help Center
