Default if you were in charge of the series....

....what would you do to make it different?
I'll tell you what I would. Keep it the way it was in those first 3 seasons, do everything I could to keep ALL the cast members intact, and never, ever, let it become "The Alan Alda show" and "oh, we're doctors, and we're so good, and we're so this, and so that, and war is hell".

Granny: "Lissen, how she got them diamonds is her business. I'm just sayin' ask her kin we buy one from her."

I would have done everyting possible to keep Larry Gelbart writing for the show. He truly made the show funny.

Nothing against Harry or Mike, but I would have done whatever I could have to keep Wayne and McLean....they were the best...I would have tried to find some way to keep the depth of like years 6-8 while maintaining a balance that incorporated more of the humor from seasons 1-3. If that makes any sense

I would have kept Trapper. His departure really hurt the show.

Hawkeye wouldn't be front and center all the time.

I'd still have Potter and Charles replace Blake and Frank, but the humor of the first three seasons would stay throughout the series. None of that dramatic crap from the last couple of seasons.

BJ never would make an appearance.

I would definately want Trapper and Blake to stay , I'm not a big Potter fan , but I think it would be interesting if Trapper met B.J. or Charles. I would also have Radar stay , and I guess Frank too , it was funny to see him react to all of Hawk,Trapper, and B.J's practical jokes....

The show was perfect the first three seasons but it would be groovy to see how Charles and Frank would had got along.

Seeing Charles interact with Frank Burns would be very funny.
I'm sure Charles would have some brilliantly worded putdowns at the ready.
