Default What is the last rare show TV Land aired?

I know that in their early days before they had much cable coverage they aired a lot of obscure shows like Longstreet, Young Lawyers, Coronet Blue, Shane, Honey West, etc. Just wondering what was the last thing they aired that's not the usual run of the mill crap. Have they even run anything decent this century?

I am not sure when these aired, but I think it was in the late 90's and not 200's, but they aired Dusty's Trail and He & She at one point. I don't know what you count are rare, but I am counting it since it doesn't syndicate much but they had Father Knows Best for a little bit. As for one season wonders Gidget is the only one that comes to mind. They had Your Show of Shows for one day in a compilation movie a couple of years ago to. If I think of anything more unusual or not aired much I will post it.

Most of the rare shows disappeared in the spring of 2000, like China Beach, Homefront, St. Elsewhere, Ironside, Johnny Ringo, F-Troop, McHale's Navy, etc. By 2001 it mostly became sitcoms (Get Smart, I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver, The Munsters, Mary Tyler Moore, etc).

I have TV Land since the fall of 2000 and the last rare show I remember is the Summer of 2002-The spinoff called Grady.

And that was just for one night along with Sunday Dinner and a few other things. I know they aired some other Norman Lear shows but those two are the only rare ones I remember.

Yeah, I loved watching Sundays Best and the TV Land Box Set. They always showed great stuff on that afternoon block. I taped one of them when they had Richard Kline on Mary Tyler Moore and She's the Sheiff. Do you know what the other two shows that TV Land aired on that Box Set?

I think they showed it with Family Ties. I know I had it on, but I don't think I watched it. I think Finder of Lost Loves aired too.

I think John Ritter on Mary Tyler Moore and Don Knotts on Andy Griffith--I'm not positive, though. I'll double check.

EDIT: Yes, I'm right:

3:00PM The Andy Griffith Show #111 - "Barney's Sidecar" (with Don Knotts)
3:30PM The Mary Tyler Moore Show #129 - "Ted's Wedding" (with John Ritter)
4:00PM She's the Sheriff #07 - "Call Me Madam" (with Suzanne Somers)
4:30PM The Mary Tyler Moore Show #152 - "Mary Gets a Lawyer" (with Richard Kline)

I got Teds Wedding from a whole wedding marathon in June and Andy is on all the time so I am glad I didn't miss taping anything that rare.

Thanks for posting!

In what country? Canada?

The US version of the History Channel hasn't - in at least the six years I've had it - never aired sitcoms/dramas. (Though they did produce an original game show at one point...)
