Default Is the opening credit talker Hugh Beaumont?

It sure sounds like him. You know, the "Leave It To Beaver", starring Barbara Bilingsley, Hugh Beaumont, Tony Dow, and Jerry Mathers as the Beaver".

Yes, it's Hugh beaumont who concluded each first season opening narration with "And that's our story tonight on Leave it to Beaver." You'll find them on the first season DVD.

The narration varies from season to season. I always liked the "Overly Happy Guy" on Season 3 when Ward and June are waking the boys up.

I thought it was Hugh Beaumont doing 'em on the first two seasons. Whoever it was, had a distinctive way of saying 'Tony Dow.' Tony Do-o-o-ow-w-w.

It's definitely not Hugh Beaumont.

Someone earlier mentioned Bob LeMond. I think that's correct.....

I didn't think that it sounded anything like Hugh Beaumont. Bob LeMond's name
sounds familiar. I think he did a lot of announcing in the 1950s.

Yeah, the opening credits were done by a few people during the course of the show's 6-year run.

I should have looked this post up before I posted the question about the opening credits. Sadly, there aren't any responses to that one. Oh well, this pretty much answers my question, though. It really does sound like Hugh Beaumont in a couple of those opening credits. I know in a few shows there has been a narration about the show's storyline and that is definitely Hugh talking. He ends it with "And that's our story tonight on Leave it to Beaver."

I always thought it was Hugh. You know, he also directed some of the shows, so who knows? He may have done this in the beginning eps??
