Since nobody's posted this yet, I guess I will.
TVShowsonDVD.com announced that Season 3 will be released on Oct. 24! Yay!! Here's the link, BTW: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5997 I'm not overly thrilled w/ the cover art, but I don't care, as long as we get the epsiodes! I wish there were extras at least, though. Kristen |

I just hope they continue with the releases ever 5 months or so. A very nice piece of news to wake up to. Hopefully there are some extras included this time but with a running time of 8 hours and 13 minutes, 22 episodes works out to 22 min and 40 sec average per episode so doubtful we will see any extras but at least with 4 disks, the compression won't be like on season 1 and 2 where they squeezed 28 episodes on 4 disks.

This is great news. Even though they had planned it out ahead of time, I was still worried that maybe they'd change their minds (like they might have done with Taxi). So I'm glad season three is coming out. For me seasons three through seven, most of the episodes are classics. I'm not a big fan of seasons 1 & 2, so season three is a welcomed addition to my DVD collection.
I too am not crazy about the cover art. Why don't they have Roy and Fay on the cover? They were a big part of the show. And how about a different picture of Lowell? But cover art aside, I'm happy that it's coming out. Good things as well as bad things are happening to my top five sitcoms. NewsRadio - Four out of five seasons are out, with rumor on the fifth one coming by the end of this year or early next year. Ellen - Season four is on it's way, with only one season following that. Wings - Season three is on it's way. Taxi - Only three out of five. They haven't released a season at all this year. I'm really worried. ![]() Boy Meets World - Three out of seven have been released and then Buena Vista says they've abandoned the DVDs.

YES, Awesome News.
I was worried to that Paramount changes their minds.. glad they didn't. Ya the cover is weak, Fay and Roy should be on the cover 2, but other than that.. ecstatic that Season 3 is on the way. |

Anybody know why it has taken so long for the Wings DVD to come out? I really love this show, and can't think of a reason why it would take this long. Seems like even the most obscure TV shows have been released on DVD. I purchased season 1 and 2 immediately after I spotted it at the store, but as soon as I got home I realized how much I wanted to watch seasons 3-7. Waiting until October seems ridiculous. Even newer shows are coming out faster than that. The entire second season of GREY'S ANATOMY is releasing in September and that is slated to include special feature. Wings didn't even have a "sub title" option let alone special feature- so why would it take so long to release the remaining seasons? It will probably take up to two years or more for the entire season to come out at this pace. I thought the only reason why SEINFELD took so long to come on DVD was because they were waiting to do special features. I guess I don't understand what would take so long if all they are going to give us are the Wings episodes. I'll get over it, but does anybody know why? The season finale of this show aired over 9 years ago and it's going to take up to two more years to release the entire season. Wings had to have been one of the better shows on TV at that time, and I can't help wondering what the hold up was. And why it's going to take almost 3 more months just to have the 3rd season.

Well tomorrow, we'll go from 29 episodes to the first 50 episodes. Antonio will finally become a regular on the show. And the really classic episodes start with season three, if you ask me.
