Just wanted to say that I recently finished the book written by the late Susan Billig about the disappearance of her daughter Amy Billig (of course profiled on UM) and I highly recommend it to anyone. Of course it goes into so much more detail than UM was able to and you really feel even more sympathy and admiration for Susan Billig after reading it for tirelessly searching for her daughter for so long. There are so many cruel people out there as well and the man who called her and terrorized her for years claiming he had Amy has absolutely no conscience! Not one ounce of remorse for all the suffering he caused and the book mentioned he heard of Amy's case after seeing it on Unsolved Mysteries. Anyway just wanted to pass on my thoughts about the book.

This case is similar to the Gus Hoffman case in the respect that both mothers made an effort to penetrate the biker sub-culture in order to find their children. I often get the two mixed up. Seems like an interesting read and if I see it, I'd probably pick the book up. I'm sure anyone can pick it up on amazon.com, though.
You just have to feel bad for the parents in these cases. Gus Hoffman's mother was virtually begging the audience (of UM) to come forward with any information. That's what stuck with me. |

I read the book some time ago. It's a great read, especially if you are into true crime like me.
Molly Hurley Moran also published a book called "Finding Susan" about Susan Hurley Harrison, her sister (who was profiled on UM as missing and later found murdered). It's another great read. |
