Default I found it WEIRD that Mr. Drummond owned no other...

...cars but a limosine. When Willis decided to sneak out and take a car, he had to take a limo. A limo is cool to be driven in, not drive. lol

Actually, I think Mr. Drummond did own a regular car. He drove it himself into the garage where Willis worked, during the episode: 420 Lifesavers

I believe that was his limo he was driving into the garage - though maybe I'm mistaken.

Good point! You'd think with all of his millions, Drummond would have an ordinary, luxury sedan (Mercedes, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, etc.) to tool around Manhattan in! Remember the episode where Willis "borrowed" the limousine so he could see Charlene?

I remember that episode. But I don't think it's that weird he wouldn't own a car. I've heard that a lot of residents of New York City don't own a car. They just walk or take a taxicab. I don't know what the wealthy people do though.

Totally. But then, there were many weird things about this fictional world...

For instance, there was no doorman or similar functionary to announce visitors. No, pretty much anyone and everyone showed up at the Drummonds' door unannounced.

Also, why were Arnold, Willis, and their mother living in relative poverty when she was the housekeeper of a VERY RICH man? Maybe Drummond didn't pay his housekeepers very well....which would actually explain his high employee turnaround!

Lucy Mae was also a widow with two young children.

She was Arnold & Willis’ mother who passed away and asked Mr. Drummond to care for them as she was his former housekeeper!
