Are all the kids failures? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was wondering what everyone thought about this. Yes, it may seem harsh but it does seem like none of these actors/people really amounted to anything after this show ended. I wonder what their counter-parts ("Bobby" for instance) would have went on to be if he were real...

It seems like any success they had especially recently is mostly related to the Brady Bunch and not because of any specific talent they possess. At least Opie went on to have some notoriety. IT seems odd to me to take a group of six kids, some connections (you know they at least HAD them), flash forward and not one of them broke away to do anything memorable.

Eve Plumb is an artist. She does paintings and all. She was the mother on a show called "Fudge" or "Superfudge", based on Judy Blume's books. She seems to want to put the Brady Bunch behind her.

Maureen McCormick had some kind of Country album at some point.

You are right though, none of them ever seemed to "hit it big" after the show's end. If they appear on anything, it seems like it is some kind of novelty appearance.

However, just because they did not continue on as entertainers, doesn't mean they weren't successful. I hear Chris Knight is some kind of computer genius.

Yeah, "Failure" was a bit much, but I sort of meant nothing in the "entertainment field" seemed to develop with any sort of "status" after the show ended. Perhaps typecasting is too powerful. It is strange to hear when they want to "put the show behind them" when people all over the world LOVE the show so deeply....

What I think they WOULD have done

Marcia: Rhinoplasty surgeon
Jan: Optomologist
Cindy: Thspeech therapis'

Greg: Lousy Architect
Peter: a verry slooow mechanic
Bobby: The "New" Cartoon King
