I can get rid of that stupid laugh track!!! I don't what it is, but the show is even better without it.

I was excited to get rid of the laugh track, too, but after about 2 episodes like that, I found myself actually missing it!

I prefer to watch it without the laugh track. But TJL has a point. I was never use to watching the show with the laugh track, because before the DVDs, I only watched it a couple times.
It just seems so much more intimate, watching the show without the annoying fake laughter. Like it's just you and the gang at the 4077th. |

I agree, 100%!!! If only ALL TV DVDs would have that!
Larry Gelbart didn't want it in the series, but, unfortunetaly, CBS insisted on it. But, they agreed to not having it in the OR scenes. He said, "These people are in the middle of Korea!! Who's doing the laughing"? |

I prefer sans laugh track, as well. I'm on the fence about selling all my M*A*S*H season DVDs and replacing them with the complete series set when it comes out. If the new discs don't have the no laugh-track option (which might happen, to leave more bandwidth for the bonus features), then the box will be a definite no-sale.
