Pennies are pointless. I say get rid of them. Hell, get rid of all coins and just have everything be rounded to dollars.

Pennies are virtually useless nowadays. If you did get rid of them it would be weird though.

The only reason I'd be against it, is because that would make the price of everything get rounded up to the nearest nickel. And like the article said, nikcels cost more than they are worth to mint to, what next, get rid of the nickel?

I save all of my pennies and take them to Coinstar once or twice a year, and I usually come up with a few hundred dollars, which is very nice, especially around Christmas-time!

dude you should roll them up yourself. coinstar takes a large percent of your money! it's a huge rip off!

Getting rid of pennies is insane. You get rid of pennies, and inflation is going to skyrocket.
