I was watching a silent movie called Men and Women and I was really enjoying it. I really wanted to find out how it would end. But somehow the ending sorta' erased. It was also very deteriorated. It was made in 1919. It is a real shame that a clasic like that would just...(for lack of a better word)die like that.

I shudder to think what Shrek or Dragonheart will look like 50 years from now.

Well, it was erased bacause it was made in 1919... And it was deteriorated because it was made in 1919... I mean considering all that... Time that movie has had too survive its no surprise it was... Screwed up... And what I don't get is how someone can stand too watch a silent movie... They're so........... Silent.

I doubt you'll have to worry about any of today's movies falling apart like that. They have great film preservation technology today and know much better how to store film.

I agree! Hey, Max, do you get TCM (Turner Classic Movies)? Cause they have what they call Silent Sunday Nights, where they show silent movies, starting at 9 pm, at least for me in Pacific time anyway. I love to watch them!

Yes. Thats were I saw Men and Women. I also saw The Indian Tomb and was very interested in that one too but it was very late and I was tired.

I enjoy silent movies very much but it seems, for one reason or another, I have never seen the end of any.
