Default Ever have something occur that made you believe it was...

fate...karma or "what goes around comes around"?

Do you even believe in fate, karma or the what goes around comes around theory?

I remember one early evening my boyfriend, my daughters and our son were traveling to my sister's house and we had to stop and pull over for a moment...shortly thereafter we proceeded on the way to my sister's house when a police car was chasing a speeding car who happened to come straight at us, head on, he was going in the wrong direction, my boyfriend quickly pulled to the side to avoid a head on collision...we were so in shock. We later found out that the car had hit another car in an intersection two minutes before he came in our direction...which means we would have been in that intersection. I truly believe in fate that moment.

Not at all. If you believe in Jesus Christ, all that stuff should be hocus pocus nonsense.

I believe in fate. But I have no real examples.

I haven't seen karma work yet though. I'd believe in karma completely and totally of my ex-bosses got what they deserved. But all I ever see are the bad people getting ahead and the good people getting crapped on. So karma seems like garbage to me.

I like to think that eventually those bad people get theirs. You aren't always with those people so you don't know that maybe KARMA did in fact already occur, you just don't know abt it.

In a way, I hope karma doesn't exist, as, although I'm a good person, I've made some small mistakes in life, and I certainly don't want karma to come around and get me.

I think if you're really, really good, karma should forgive you a few mistakes.

Oh yea. When I do things that my conscience doesn't agree with, I totally get something else thrown in my face. Like this one time at work one of the the other waiters sat two people down for dinner. He then went into the kitchen and they decided they didn't want to eat because it was too expensive, but they left and left $5 on the table for seating them and getting them water. Well, me being the greedy little son of a bitch at the time, I thought that if I took the money, he'd never know about it and all would be good. Well I pocketed the cash and told him they just left for no reason. Few hours later, I loose one of my receipts from a guest (with a $15 charge tip on it) and I look for it frantically for over an hour. I didn't close out the check, so I have no idea what room number to charge it to. If I don't find it, I just lost $15. I'm usually careful when it comes to keeping my receipts, but sometimes I just don't pay attention to what I do. I finally found it after digging through trash and after I did, I gave my co-worker back that $5 I took from his table and told him the whole story. He thought it was hilariously funny of course, but I totally knew that was my reprocussion from taking his money. I'm usually not greedy like that, but the one time I try and get away with it and I can't.

I like the "what goes around comes around" one. When you screw someone around(a friend, let's say...) it will usually come back to bit you in the arse.

That's true. Just wish I could be there to see...or at least hear about it. Because the people I'm thinking of really messed up my life and 2 years later I'm still wounded. I want them to pay in the worst way.
