This may have been brought up here more than once before, but I am fairly new to the M*A*S*H board. I read about the pilot, W*A*L*T*E*R years ago. It stars Gary Burghoff and he is playing Radar, who know works as a Cincinnati police officer. The pilot wasn't picked up (obviously). Is there anybody out there who has seen it or heard much about it? What were your thoughts?

Go to TVobscurities.com - they have some clips from the episode there.

I remember seeing it when it aired in the summer of 1984 - I don't remember much about it and from the clips I saw on the website, nothing special. But judge for yourself.

It was standard practice for the networks to air the pilots for shows that didn't get picked up for the fall. It was a cool way to see the stuff that never got a chance.
