Excedrin murders....any thoughts? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I watched this story on 48 Hours Mystery last week. I had previously seen it on Forensic Files and they made no mention of the lady convicted possibly being innocent. However after watching 48HM I think there's a good chance that she was wrongly convicted. They brought to light she was basically convicted on the testimony of her estranged daughter who wasn't even around much. It wasn't revealed at trial that the daughter received $250,000 in reward money for testifying and helping them get a conviction. Pretty lousy defense attorney's who didn't fight to get that info in if you ask me (it was agreed to be left out by them if the prosecution wouldn't mention the woman on trial supposedly failed a polygraph). The whole key to the case according to the FF show was they found traces of cyanide in a container at the house where the wife was grounding up algae tablets for her aquarium yet 48 HM never even mentioned that. Her husband took 4 Excedrin pills and collapsed and she called 911. They initially told her he died from Emphyasema and she disputed that. If she had poisoned him surely she would have just went along with that diagnosis so she could collect the insurance money. Plus when they showed the lot # for the Excedrin bottles they were looking for she called the police right away to tell them she had that number. Again she wouldn't have done that if she placed the tainted pills in there as it would draw unwanted attention to herself. They made mention of the tainted Tylenol pills from years earlier and said no one has ever been arrested so that makes me wonder if the same person could have been responsible for both the Tylenol and Excedrin poisonings. Any thoughts or opinions?

Anyway, I think she's guilty. Although I'd like to see that 48 Hours show. I did read the summary on the CBS website. Looks like you can slant this either way based on what info you leave out. The CBS link had many troubling aspects, including one prosecution witness after another being paid, including the aquarium store owner, who got something like $15,000.
