I need more friends. - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

this isn't a ranting and raving post, it's more for advice and reassurance than anything else

I really feel friendless right now. one of my best friends, Leah, moved this year, and i feel really bad about it since we were very close. my other friend hasn't answered his phone lately and i haven't talked to him for a while. as for my other friends, i haven't heard from them, and another one of my friends hasn't answered the email i sent him. in other words i rely on a few people to be my only friends, when i really wish i could make more friends so i wouldn't have to rely on so few people. i'm one of those people who has a necessity to talk

do any of you have advice on how to make some more friends, either here or in real life? any advice is appreciated

yeah and i have a new email address (at hotmail.com) and i only have 2 people on my contact list.

Offline friends? I'm a master. I usually wear clothes that are kinda out there and people are always saying something about it.

Yeah. Then I say something sarcastic and random to crack them up and BAM new friends.

I suggest you try a summer camp, I'm sure you can meet a lot of friends there and have a great time, than you can just ask for their email/phone number, keep in contact witht them.

I'm in a similar situation to you, american_non_idiot. The thing with me is, there's a particular person that I want as a friend, and I can't seem to get this person as a friend. I've no idea how to do it. It's a horrible situation to be in, I just wish God would sort it out for me! I've asked Him to.

i know how you feel, though, i just moved to a new town and had to leave all my friends behind. i haven't even really met anyone new since i've been here, so i get really lonely. at least i have barney, he's my imaginary purple dinasor friend.

i know how that feels, i've been there many many times. sometimes i get whoever it is as a friend, sometimes i don't.

yah, i have had people who would never normally talk to me compliment me on my clothes. just because i like fashion and stuff like that. but it's never really made me friends..

i can't get along with people my age and i don't talk to anyone who is older. plus i'm a social reject in every sense possible. so yeah, i don't have many friends. on the internet i'm a lot more outgoing because i could care less what people think about me on here.

Yeah, I'm in the exact same position too!

I only have 4 really close friends who I talk to often......and I was the middle school DORK and NERD and I'm dying to be popular in high school!

I wish I could help but I'm in the same situation, sorry
