I was just wondering if there are any weight loss success stories? What made you decide to want to lose weight? Does anyone have any recommendation on products or workout tapes?
I know for the past month and a half, I have been working out to Turbo Jam, which i REALLY recommend. I have gone from a size 24 to now a size 18! I decided to lose weight because I just wanted a change. I had to basically get my mind right, and I went on from there. It's been challenging, but it in the end, finally fitting into those jeans that I couldn't once wear, is the best reward ever. Of course, with the working out, I had to change my eating habits, which was hard, but worth it. |

I have lost 25 pounds so far and that is since last year...The reason for the slowish weight loss is because I am in college, and that makes it difficult to find time to go to the gym and whatnot to work out.
All I did was change my eating habits. I didn't go on any special diets, although my diet is sort of like South Beach. The biggest change I made was I cut out soda completely from my diet. I quit drinking soda cold-turkey in April 2005, and that was the best decision I ever made. I have no desire to start drinking soda again. Soda is the WORST thing anyone can drink. It does a lot more damage to your system than you think. Anyway, that is what I did...changed my eating habits and started working out more, and the pounds came off. I have gone down SIX pants sizes and two top sizes, and that is just with 25 pounds! I still have 25 more to lose, so who knows what my new sizes will be once I meet my goal weight. ![]() My advice to everybody that wants to lose weight...first, PUT DOWN THAT CAN OF SODA AND STEP BACK. I have heard of people who lost as much as 15 pounds when they cut out soda from their diet. Please do it for your own good and your well-being. |

I totally agree with you. I was drinking diet soda, and I think that's even worse. I went cold turkey with the diet soda in May and have been drinking nothing but water.
