HA HA HA...LMAO!!!!!!! i wonder how long before she finds out the real truth abt her marriage too...

they are showing the View right now and Barbara stated that the network was not going to renew her contract for this fall for MANY reasons...Star was well aware of what was going on.

True, but they were going to give her a sendoff later this week. Instead, she decided to just announce it during the middle of the show(they weren't even discussing it when she just brings it up out of the blue).

I never liked her anyway, but I think this show is SO over. Rosie is replacing Meredith.

Yesterday on “The View” Star Jones unexpectedly announced that she would be leaving the show.

Please see below the transcript from today’s show with Barbara Walters response to yesterday’s announcement:

BARBARA WALTERS: THIS IS, TRUTHFULLY, A VERY DIFFICULT DAY FOR US, AND IT IS A SAD DAY FOR US. IF YOU WERE WATCHING THE PROGRAM YESTERDAY, YOU WOULD HAVE HEARD STAR ANNOUNCE THAT SHE'S LEAVING "THE VIEW" AND WILL NOT BE ON THE PROGRAM NEXT FALL. WE DIDN'T EXPECT HER TO MAKE THIS STATEMENT YESTERDAY. SHE GAVE US NO WARNING. AND WE WERE TAKEN BY SURPRISE. BUT THE TRUTH IS THAT STAR HAS KNOWN FOR MONTHS THAT ABC DID NOT WANT TO RENEW HER CONTRACT AND THAT SHE WOULD NOT BE ASKED BACK IN THE FALL. THE NETWORK MADE THIS DECISION BASED ON A VARIETY OF REASONS WHICH I WON'T GO INTO NOW. BUT WE WERE NEVER GOING TO SAY THIS. WE WANTED TO PROTECT STAR. AND SO WE TOLD HER THAT SHE COULD SAY WHATEVER SHE WANTED ABOUT WHY SHE WAS LEAVING AND THAT WE WOULD BACK HER UP. WE WORKED CLOSELY WITH HER REPRESENTATIVES AND WE GAVE HER TIME TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER JOB AND WE HOPED THEN SHE WOULD ANNOUNCE IT HERE ON THE PROGRAM AND LEAVE WITH DIGNITY. LOL! I was thinking the same thing.

ABC has a poll up for a possible replacement, no one is winning overwhelmingly but ANN COULTER(ANN COULTER?!) is in the lead among actual replacements.

I wish I had seen yesterday's episode, but I very very rarely ever watch daytime t.v. I only tuned in this morning to see what ELSE was gonna happen.

It was only Babs talking to the camera...She was very serious. When she stopped speaking the camera did a pan of the three at the table and went to a commercial, with the audience applauding (on cue of course)...but it kinda was weird seeing the show start out this way.
