Sad

I was aspiring to be a rock star in my younger days and wrote out a few songs. Too bad I turned out to be tone deaf.

I'm too tonedeaf. In sixth grade, my chorus teacher had this habit of whenever he heard someone off key, he'd go up to that person and tap them on the shoulder just so they knew. I was tapped on the shoulder just about every day. I can sing a little, but if nobody's listening. Otherwise, I can't carry a tune in a bucket or anywhere else.

presence that life is worthwhile so when you are lonely remember it's true
somebody somewhere is thinking of you."

I've written several songs, one of which I sang, with a few of my friends, at my eighth grade graduation.

------------------
Jo: Partners? You mean 50-50? Uh, 50-50-50-50-50?
Blair: Good, Jo, we'll let you do the books!

If ignorance is bliss, why aren't there more happy people?

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I write songs. I've written tons of songs. Actually, to be more accurate, I've written tons of lyrics. I have some trouble getting the music in my head on to paper or on to my guitar, you know? I also sometimes have problems setting words to the music I write. As hard as it is to break into the business at any level, I think I'd really like to be a singer/songwriter. But, even if I never get my act together (you know, a band ) I'd still really like to be a lyricist. Well, I can dream, can't I? In the words of the great Billy Joel, "Dream on, but don't imagine they'll all come true."

My friends and I tried to put together a "band" a few years ago and write our own songs. Needless to say, it never worked. Lol
