Thumbs up Coming Back to Canada (on Sun TV)!!

Just got this news at LLL..."Here's Lucy" will be coming back to Canada on Sun TV SEPTEMBER, 2006!!!!!

Just checked the Sun TV site (http://suntv.canoe.ca/) to confirm the info...here it is from the latest "Fall Preview" Press Release:

Also, if anyone who gets the Sun-TV station in Canada would be willing to tape the "Here's Lucy" episodes for me with a VCR (or preferably DVD recorder), please let me know in a PM here, reply in this thread, or e-mail me at: DizzyArnizzy_Josh@yahoo.com. I'd pay you or trade for other "Lucy" things I have (and I've got A LOT). Thanks!!

"You know what" will freeze over before it comes back to air in the US. Damn this country sucks wind when it comes to tv. If it isn't from the last 15 years forget seeing it seems to be the attitude anymore. Lucky Canadians.

What amazing news about the return of Here's Lucy to Canada.......yeah. I am going to have to tape all of the episodes on VHS because it does not look like the entire series will be released on DVD. I have the DVD, but it would be great to have the entire series on DVD. I haven't seen this show since the 1980s sometime, so I am so excited.........Kevin.

Unfortunately SunTV seems to acquire the rights to only one or two seasons of the old series that they show, then plays them for a year. I know that "Family Affair" and "Leave it to Beaver" have had the same two seasons of shows rerun for the past year.

BUMP..."Here's Lucy" has started airing on the Sun-TV network starting today, in the 1:00 PM e/t time slot, the first episode being aired is the first, "Mod, Mod Lucy"...the network will be airing the episodes in their usual syndication order. "Here's Lucy" is airing Monday-Friday...the next episode, being aired tomorrow is "Lucy's Birthday."

DizzyArnizzy,
i live in Canada as well (Winnipeg,MB) but unfortunately we do not get the SunTV station here. Do you know if the episodes are cut, and if so, are they they same cuts ones that aired on PAX tv a few years back? ... they ran about 21 mins.

Would love to get uncut episodes of the first 3 seasons...already have the Here's Lucy-Best LOved collection...wish they would release the whole series on DVD.

thanks. :-)

Hi, CHERISLAND -- Unfortuanely, I do not receive this channel, either, but I have seen clips of the airings, and yes, the episodes are the syndicated cuts (running about 21-22 minutes without commercials), and the picture quality is superior, looking just like the quality of the episodes released on the 24 "Best of" DVD set...these episodes have definitely been restored since they were aired on PAX about eight years ago (in 1998)...they're a lot better quality than those, which is GREAT!!
