I couldn't watch it live because there were so many commercials. Was it more than usual? It seemed like every time they had commercials, they'd last for 5 minutes+. I recorded two tapes full, and watched all of that. Nearly 12 hours worth of Three's Company.

The only part I didn't like was where they repeated some of the episodes

What I didn't like was when they had so many commercials, it's like if you are taping on the DVR or VCR, it cuts off the end of the episode and you don't know what happeend.

The reason that there is so many repeats in "any" sitcom or TV show in general, is that contracts that are made up for viewing rights do not allow or give access to a shows total series run. The TV stations that broadcast them are only allowed so many episodes for a certain amount of time. Thus, in a 2 to 3 year run, we see all continuous repeated shows. If 3's Company made 172 shows (I think this is correct), TV Land, I heard, only has access to about maybe 75 shows total. Thus, the repeats. It also generally takes 100 episodes of a TV show to "qualify" for syndication. Of course, there are a few exceptions if the show is "close", (Gilligan's Island- 98, A-Team- 95, etc...)
