I'm very sorry to hear that. Moose (his real name) was my favorite actor on the show! I have even read the book that he "wrote," "MY LIFE AS A DOG" (2000). (He had a little help from author Brian Hargrove.) Moose also starred in the movie "My Dog Skip" with Frankie Muniz. For the record: Moose was born on Dec. 24, 1990, in Weirsdale, Florida. He came from a litter of four puppies. His coach/trainer was Mathilde de Cagny. Moose will be greatly missed by fans of great animal actors.
Pauline Bartel, in her book "AMAZING ANIMAL ACTORS" (1997) said of Moose: "In his early years, he was a house pet in Orlando, Florida, until he drove his owner crazy with the super energy associated with his breed. His owner put him up for adoption. With a new owner, he moved to Los Angeles and began funneling his attention-getting hyperactivity into acting. A spot in a Louisiana lottery commercial launched his career and landed him a supporting role on Kelsey Grammer's post-CHEERS show, FRASIER. The rest, as they say, is history. "Moose receives hundreds of fan letters a week, eats like a king--his favorite tidbits include home-cooked chicken, stew beef, and hot dogs--and enjoys the other perks that go along with stardom." |

Eddie, the dog from ‘Frasier,’ dies
Moose, who also starred in ‘My Dog Skip,’ was 16 years old The Associated Press NEW YORK - The dog that drove Frasier crazy has died. Eddie was played on the TV series by a Jack Russell terrier named Moose. His trainer tells People magazine that Moose was 16 1/2 years old when he died at her home in Los Angeles. He’d been retired for the last 6 1/2 years of his life. Moose also starred in the movie “My Dog Skip” as the older Skip. |

Just saw this on the board about a month ago (I'm a new Frasier fan!), but it's sad to know that he's gone. He seemed like such a sweet dog and he was so talented!
