Default Does it make sense for McDonald's to sell HEALTHY FOOD?

I just never understood the point of a FAST FOOD place having SALADS in addition to the Greasy Food they are known for. Wouldn't it make more sense to go to SALAD WORKS if you were in a mood for a salad?-lol I want to know who says-"You know I want to start eating healthy so let me go to McDonald's and get a SALAD"-lol

It makes sense for business reasons, they want to attract more customers. Some people want fast food, but don't go to McDonalds because it's too unhealthy. This way they can draw the health concience in.

It does make sense to try and corner every possible market there is. I know a few people who go to places like McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's for salads.

But why do they go to those places??-lol Recently I decided to stay away from fried foods so it would be silly for me to go in McDonalds and get a salad and know It's a 85% chance I will get the craving for some fries

I actually went in there a few times just to have their salads when I was on a diet. They're pretty good but I don't think they make much money off it. I was the only one in there eating it.

Yes it makes sense, Not everyone eats burgers and fries. And since it's a fast food business they are trying to accommodate every one and they're trying to make as much money as possible.

It is ironic that they sell healthy things even though most everything they have is unhealthy. I guess it works if there is a group of people together where some of them want healthy foods and some of them want unhealthy foods. It is also good because it is hard to find healthy fast food places.

Not everybody that wants food fast wants something that will clog their arteries, and there aren't many healthy places to get food fast.

I work at a Grocery Store and noticed nobody buys low fat or reduced fat or no fat anything. All the natural and organic stuff doesn't sell much either. Maybe when they see McDonalds selling there favorite foods in a healthier format they may buy there groceries like that.

Didn't McDonalds get kinda "pushed" to have to sell healthy items because of all the lawsuits? This way their defense can be, well, we offer healthy items in addition to fast food...

I know I don't buy a lot of that low fat stuff. It doesn't taste good.
