I was flipping channels the other day and I stumbled upon this couple having sex. (Nudity and all) The weird thing was, it had a laugh track or a studio audience in the background. I wondered what the hell is this? It was a sitcom on HBO. It is called "Lucky Louie." Not only do they have sex and nudity, they curse a whole heck of a lot. It was nothing I've ever seen before. Has anybody seen this show? Personally, it wasn't very funny....just different.

SOmetimes I think that HBO believes that if you throw more sex, violence and profanity inot a traditional TV format, it's going to be a hit. That may work well for dramas, like Sopranos or Deadwood, but it's always very hit and miss with comedy.

btw, why are you surprised Brian? they have CATHOUSE, REAL SEX and other stuff that shows worse than what you mentioned?

I think it's trying to be a cutting edge show like Married With Children was to FOX. BTW it is taped in front of a studio audience.

I wouldn't say surprised...just weird. Here you think you are watching a traditional sitcom, then all of a sudden they drop the F bomb or in bed screwing each others brains out. lol

That's why I hate HBO, they lure you in with a great series, then they don't air it for a couple of years.

Ok, i seen the show last night. First of all Brian, they are SIMULATING SEX...the guy has a shirt on and the wife had on pajamas... they show nothing past their waists...your post (or maybe I just assumed...) made it sound like that it was full nudity and real sex.
