Ok, sadly I cannot provide much information on this elusive song. All I know is it is by Queen. It is popular enough to get radio play, but hardly any. I have only heard this song on the radio twice in my life, so obviously it's not any of their big hits like We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another Bites the Dust, etc. etc.
I would describe this song as slow and haunting. I know that is not much to go on at all, but does anyone have any ideas whatsoever of a song that fits that description? |

Do you remember perhaps a certain lyric to the song? I can pull out my Queen albums and check for you. Slow and haunting... the only slow and haunting Queen song I can think of off the top of my head is the first part of Bohemian Rhapsody.

It wouldn't happen to be "Who Wants to Live Forever", is it? I believe it was/is on the Highlander soundtrack. That's the only "popular" Queen song that can be found as haunting. Hope I helped...

Thanks for your help so far guys. Cokies, I just listened to Who Wants to Live Forever and sadly, that is not it.
I think, though I am not sure, I think that there was a phrase or something in a foreign language. Also, it was kind of hard to understand what was being said, as opposed to most Queen songs, which are usually easy to understand. Who knows, maybe it wasn't Queen, lol. Then I'd be totally lost. But I am 99% sure that the radio guy said that it was Queen, he just didn't say the song (and of course both times I've heard it I was in my car so I couldn't call the station and ask). Any other thoughts? |

Huge, huge guess here... Save Me from the album The Game?
It's a ballad and slower -- though it probably doesn't qualify as haunting. |

Perhaps it isn't a song by Queen, but some solo work by Freddie Mercury and the DJ mistook it for Queen? I'm not very familiar with all the solo work of Freddie's that they recently released, but if it was from the end of his life, I could understand that it be slow and haunting...
I just downloaded one called "How Can I Go On" which is slower than your typical Queen song. I don't know if I'd classify it as haunting, but, that could be entirely up to you. |

Could it be "You take my breath away" off the Day at the Races album?
