Smile Signs you're stuck in the 80's

In random order

1.You have a BETA player and use it every day. VCR's? DVD's? Bah! Who needs them?

2.You have a Mobile phone, the phone that looks bigger than a cordless phone. Why carry around an eeny meeny teeny cellphone that fits in your pocket?

3.You have ATARI in your house and play with that instead of the newer video game systems. With the exception of gray Nintendo.

4.You still play with the gray Nintendo. Who needs Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Nintendo game cube, Playstation, Playstaion 2, XBox, and the other "new" game systems.

5.You watch Dallas and Dynstay reruns rather than watching new O.C.
episodes.

6.You wear legwarmers out in public.

7.Your colors are loud and don't really match. You wear a lot of neon.

8.Your hair is big, teased, and puffy.

9.You cry for the old days of MTV and write an angry letter to MTV to curse them out for playing all of these reality shows and sucky music videos and angrily gripe that MTV was so much better in the 80's.

10. You have a pogo stick and use that as your mode of transportation.

11.Your makeup is loud and you wear a lot of blue eyeshadow.

12.You are a guy and number 11 also applies to you and you do not care. Your hair is also outrageously long, longer than many of your female friends.

13.You don't have any internet and your computer runs on DOS.

14. You record music onto a blank cassette tape from your radio. Who needs an IPOD? IPOD, Bah!

15. To you, The Go-Go's are the new "It" singing girl group.

16.You have basic cable. You'd never think of getting Direct TV, to many channels..........................

17. Your TV still goes off at night and gives you a vertical rainbow against your screen.

18. You have only network channels, not even basic cable.

19.You have "rabbit" ears fort antennas on your 1984 TV and you have the "knob" TV to change channels and lower/raise your volume.

20. You wear your shirt off the shoulder.

You refer to Ronald Reagan as "the President" and George W. Bush as "Bush."

Yep! I watch Dallas every afternoon on Soapnet. Love that show!
I never got into Dynasty. Dallas ripoff!

I am the same way; I prefer ATARI games to the stuff that is out now. I still have my ATARI 2600 console, but it, with a bunch of cartridges, is currently at my parents' house. I never had a Nintendo system, oddly enough, probably because there were games available for the IBM PC (as in Personal Computer, not Politically Correct, mind you!) like Rogue. I can remember still playing ATARI games in the 1990s.

Even though I have never seen Dallas and Dynasty I find them more appealing than The O. C.

I used to do this myself, but ultimately I started buying cassette tapes. I was similar to you, Janice Johnson, thinking, "Who needs CDs? CDs, Bah!" Today I try my luck with the radio and save my money.

Ditto. I'm holding out for the "a la carte" pick and choose options. I've heard that "a la carte" is available in Canada.

Remember those numbers on your automobile speed-ometer(for the MPH)? Very retro. Very 70's, 80's and early 90's.

Also, a car in the 1980's was considered fast when it could go from 0 to 50 in only 10 seconds flat.

21. The only "dialup" you know of is "dialing" up your friends on the phone.

22. Speaking of number 21, the phone you use is a rotary phone.

23.Your home phone does not have Caller ID(because it's rotary!) .

To you, Doogie Howser is the latest "Hospital" show. What's House? Is that a new home makeover show?

I don't cry but the MTV of the 80's was better than today's.

Talking Movies & Music

The only two things that I love about the 80's are the movies & the music.
Don't get me wrong; I do stay current with today's stuff but I really do prefer
those back then a little bit more.

Cool

You have avatars of Ronnie James Dio and signatures with Iron Maiden lyrics.

And guess what: Both are BACK!!!! Not like they ever really left.
