Default For those of you who seen both spinoffs, which do u like better-Grady or Sanford Arm

I think I enjoyed Sanford Arms more than Grady because you had more than one than the Sanford and Son supporting characters involved. Plus I always liked Esther and Bubba more than Grady and I felt the Wheeler Family was more watchable than the Wilson Family

Neither was all that good, but overall, I'd pick Grady. I was always a Grady fan.

The only Grady ep I liked was the one with Fred, and I wish I could see the ones with Rollo as a Guest, Esther and Woody as a Guest

Just curious Solomon, do you like Sanford Arms better than the episodes of Sanford and Son when Fred is gone and Grady is in the forefront?

I just have to say that Grady stands much better alone than Esther or Bubba.

Yes I would prefer The 4 eps of Sanford Arms over any of the 9 eps of Sanford and Son with Redd Foxx during the spring of 74

Wow, that is not what I expected.

I would not take one episode of Sanford Arms over those Grady episodes of Sanford & Son. Not one.

Well the Sanford Arms had Bubba and Esther, the Sanford and Son eps without Fred had Lamont and Grady and not much Esther and no bubba at all

I'm getting the impression that you would have loved those episodes if it featured Bubba in the lead instead of Grady.

I'm in the minority, but I thought for what they asked of him, Whitman Mayo did a great job. And the scripts are better than people give credit (probably because they were originally made for Redd). They are certainly better than a lot of Season 6.

I know, we differ, it's the way it is.

Maybe if Grady wasn't living in the Sanford House I would have liked those eps a lot better. That Daddy role turned me off

I think it was just easier since the episode were written with Fred in mind.

Easier to adapt Grady to that role than having him come over each when Fred wasnt even around and plug him into those plots.

i am sorry, i was thinking of two things and I merged them together in my post. I just got up and have things on my mind. Any spin-off with Redd Foxx would have been better than anything without him.

Ok, Sanford Arms i liked better. I still get to see Esther...Grady was not that good. Although, I think a spin-off with him would have worked out, if they had worked harder at a better type of show. You know there are characters that would work well with their own show, you just have to find the right show.

The easier thing to do would have been to end the season earlier instead of putting goofy grady in that role.

Grady could carry a show better than Aunt Esther and Bubba.
