Default DVD Discussion Thread

I noticed my original post regarding ADDAMS discs generated alot of talk, so I thought I'd start another one. This time, let's talk about what you think Fox should do with the release. What should the packaging look like? I think a nice family portrait would do, maybe with some Addams parafanalia in the background, like Thing, etc. If they were to include extras, and we were lucky enough to have them, I'd like to see commentaries by the surviving cast, interviews, vintage interviews, bloopers, any rare deleted footage or footage lost for 40 years (like I LOVE LUCY), photo galleries, etc. Talk it up.

Guys,

I was disappointed that the series will be released in 3 volumes as opposed to two complete box sets. I also customarily wait for 30 days before the purchase of new DVD's to hear reviews and to get the bugs out. The price however is very reasonable and there will be some cool extras! What company is doing the set?

I don't like that the set will consist of double-sided discs. I had enough of that with The Munsters. Below is the cover art- I LOVE it (it has the feel of the movies), but I can't stand the font used for The Addams Family

I love the cover but do not like the double side disks & volumne sets. I would have been happy to pay more to have the set better.

What a shame, no Ma ma on the cover with her family.

I got the Volume 1 DVD for Christmas!!!! (Thank you Thing!)

The audio and video is STUNNING! If you guys get it, you'll be shocked at the great quality! It is obvious that MGM really did an unbelivable job restoring these prints.

Yes, with only one exception the episodes are complete and uncut! The only thing that they had to cut was Mortica singing the line, "It's so nice to have a Thing around the house." This is because MGM could not get the rights to the song, "It's so nice to have a man around the house." Is this in only one episode or two where this occurs? Please don't let this minor edit due to copyright issues stop you from buying this DVD! There are LOADS of extras as well!

Maybe it WAS a good idea that MGM is releasing the set in Volume releases rather than full season releases to keep the price down. I understand that the whole series will be released in three volumes, rather than two seasons.
