Post Fireworks

Given that it is the fourth of July and if anybody is really bored, here are some funny stories about my past fourth of july's.

When I was somewhere between 8 and 10 we had a neighborhood party (We did this every year, but this one really sticks out). In KY you cannot buy firecrackers so one of neighbors always went to TN so we could get the "really good stuff". After the adults had drank numerous beers and us kids splashed around in our little pools and ran around pointing sparklers at each other we trudged up the hill towards the open field that set next to neighborhood elementary school. After a couple of fireworks one of the adults put a bottle rocket in an empty beer bottle (not hard to guess where that came from) and they lit it and ran aside. When they were running, someone stepped on the grass the wrong way and the bottle rocket was headed on a direct line to the school. The adults are running and grabbing the kids (who of course we are watching the bottle rocket go right into the school) It exploded right before it hit the school, keeping my parents and other adults out of jail for destroying a school.

My next story involves no alcohol. It does involve firecrackers, a few of my high school classmates that I worked with, my boss, and the McDonald's next door. Dave had gotten some firecrackers and we were going to shoot them off after the late shows started. This other girl and I were standing aside so we could run at the first sign of trouble, while the old lady sat on the concrete blocks, and the four guys attempted to shoot off fireworks. It went really well, until this one was on a direct arch to the McDonald's next door. It was one of my more interesting work experiences. I get to shoot some off tonight, buildings watch out!!

And if anyone else has some good fireworks stories please tell!!

Well this isn't a funny story but I just thought i'd share with ya, so about 4 years ago we were popping firecracker in front of my old house and this boy Rojeleo that lived a few houses down had these fierworks that are illigal in the entire state. So he had those and he was popping them in the middle of the street and one of the firecrackers that he lit, he thought had burned out so he went to go relight it and when he went to go do that it sort of blew up in his face and it started to pop and some little flames got into his eye and burned part of his eye. But he's ok now.

First story involves something that happened to me, only involving both a daycare center(empty) and a storage building. And I live about 2 mi. from the TN border so there were A LOT of fireworks.
