Default Do You Think the Show Would Have Jump the Shark if Will and Lisa had gotten.......

married? I wonder what direction the show would have taken if they actually got married. Would it have made the show better or would it have made the show jump the shark.

I can't help but wonder what would've happened too.
I don't know.
Would Will and Lisa live on their own or in the pool house or what?
And how would they deal with the whole "your father married my mother" thing lol.
But what I don't like is how they just dropped Lisa in the last season as if she never existed and never mentioned her again.

I think it would have been a jump the Shark moment because the Roles of these characters would have decreased

If the show would have been up for cancellation then they probably would have married them off and called it a day. I think they was probably preparing for the end and then they recieved word that they were being renewed so they had to make up something to keep the show going another season without losing focus. They did that in season four when the show was allegedly cancelled but brought back at the last minute (depending on how you asked, some said Will was ready to jump full time into movies and NBC convinced him to say).

i think it would be interersting if they moved in to the poolhouse or something and that's probably the most likely option. but yeahh i dont know if it would be the same.

Nope it wouldn't have because Will and Lisa would have been the new focus of the show. Will and Lisa getting married would have only made sense in a series finale

Well, I guess it was supposed to be the finale. The producers of Fresh Prince were always ready just in case the show's season was to be it's last, starting with season 4. That was when Will went to Philadelphia for the finale and didn't want to come home. That was supposed to be the finale, but then they got word that it was renewed for another season, so changed the ending slightly. Same thing with the fifth season. Since they had the wedding, if NBC was cancelling the show, they would haev gotten married, but since NBC renewed it for another season, they didn't get married so the show could continue.

The show wouldve been worst because the focus would be on Will and Lisa instead of the rest of the characters on the show.
