Question Why are they not showing "Degrassi: Old School" anymore?

Why has The-N stopped showing "Degrassi: Old School" (AKA Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High?)
I always looked forward to watching those late at night! What happened? Was that only a temporary thing?
Anyone know if they'll bring them back?

Man...I really miss my "old school" Degrassi!

They show it everynight at like 4 in the am, when I checked last week. It was a weekend so maybe just weekends, but I'm pretty sure they still air it in the graveyard shift, just like My So Called Life, sadly.

I like Beyond the Break and I like your pic buffyboy anyway in my opinion I feel The new Degrassi should be dumped and replaced with the Old School Degrassi just my opinion though.

I watched most of the Old School episodes and I'm guessing the people who liked it better were the ones who grew up with it. Don't get me wrong, the new Degrassi isn't without its flaws but the Old School was bad from it's acting to its production values to its horrible dialogue. It felt like I was watching something made by a jr high video production class. It was just very cheap looking and I didn't find any of the characters all that engaging except for Joey Jeremiah.

The reason the pictures for old school looked cheap is because it was set in the 80's I think.Alot of 80's shows look like that. There was no such thing as high definition camera's or whatever the heck else they have today for todays shows..

However I didn't really grow up on it I was pretty young when it first aired and never noticed than however as I grew up in the 90's they had reruns and I have caught it alot I remember a letter going into the pocket of a leather coat a kid had on in the open credits. At least minus Kathleen none of the old Schoolers made me wish I can jump into the tv screen and smack the crap out of them the way the next genearationers do.

They only show it once week on Saturdays at 5am.

ETA: I'm not surprised it didn't do well, even if it bears the Degrassi name. The tweens on The-N hate Dawson's Creek because "it's ancient." Sheesh, it only went off the air a couple of years ago! They make me feel so old sometimes.
