For some reason this beautiful female character just grated my nerves. She never seemed to be wrong and always made Jesse look silly. Jesse was supposed to be a cool biker guy, not the comic relief to his wife. Any other viewers of the show have an opinion?

Becky was one of my favorite characters, so I disagree.

I always liked her. She did sometimes make Jessie look bad because she was never wrong, but that never bothered me.

Me too. I wasn't a big fan of the first season and the episodes with Jesse with long hair.

She was originally only signed for 6 episodes, and stayed on because so many fans liked her. Admittedly, the writers probably thought they might - but, still, they couldn't make her *too* 3-dimensional if she was then just going to go away except for some minor references.

If she hadn't been liked by the fans, the writers would have kept her as a co-host with very rare appearances, maybe a few per season, just so they had some way of saying, "Okay, now there is a woman figure who we can say D.J. and later the others go to for puberty and other issues." (As mentioned in the end of "A Little Romance," when D.J. asks if she can come to her for such things.) But, that's about it.

When fans responded so favorably to her, however, they had to work to develop her character more, thus "Baby Love" and the two-parter at the end of season 2.I think they did a good job. Her clashes with Jesse and trying to help him improve made her seem a little mroe squeaky clean than she might because of the juxtaposition. However, I don't think she was shown as flawless or anything. I think we need to look at the positives of characters, though, and what makes us feel good about them. And, she had a lot that attracted myself and other fans.

Not only that, but I wonder if, in some small way, Jesse clung to her because there was a part of her that reminded him of Pam.

I think the show got better when Beccy came along. Lori Loughlin was back then and still is hot.

I like Rebecca. She is one of my favorite characters on the show. She sort of played a mother figure for the girls, and that was definitley something they needed.

I also think the show got better when Becky came along. Jesse would be lost without her! He'd be just like that Season 1 Jesse, UGH....I also really liked how she was with the girls. The only problem I ever had with Becky was that she gave birth to those stupid twins!!!!

She was never a favorite (Stephanie was my fav) but as a character she was okey. She had her flaws but overall a ok person. The biggest problem was not her but instead som bad storyline in which she had a bad part. Almost never was she the one who was the bad thing in a good plotline.

I'm sorry, but Becky was a BITCH! I don't even think she looks good. Her bitchiness just shines through too much. I know, that the girls needed a woman around the house, but I never liked Becky. She was awful.
