I saw this little newsflash, can anyone confirm it?

Adult Swim has announced on June 16, 2006 through a couple of advertisements in the Adult Swim Fix that they have picked up the show due the initial reaction of Pee-Wee's Playhouse coming on Adult Swim in July. The show will start airing in November 2006.

I spoke to someone at Turner this morning. He said this is false. AS jokes around a lot in their promos.

Adult Swim always does this kind of crap.

It's like when they "announced" on their blog that they were bringing Saved by the Bell back.

LOL. Sorry about the SBTB thing ... I did mean "as a new series". I have no idea why Adult Swim thinks it's funny to pull those stupid pranks, especially announcing a series joining the lineup when it's not true at all. Sure it may be funny, but it's also annoying and gets people's hopes up.

Reruns of Pee Wees Playhouse is coming in July to Adult Swim not new episodes.
